Seth Binzer, the lead singer of the early-2000s rap-rock band Crazy Town, has died at the age of 49. Binzer, who went by the stage name Shifty Shellshock, died on June 24, 2024, according to a representative for the band.

Crazy Town is best known for their hit song "Butterfly," which was released in 2001. The song reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group.

Binzer was born in Los Angeles, California, on August 23, 1974. He began his music career in the late 1990s, when he joined Crazy Town. The band released their debut album, "The Gift of Game," in 2000. The album was a commercial success, selling over two million copies worldwide.

After Crazy Town disbanded in 2003, Binzer continued to release music as a solo artist. He released two solo albums, "Happy Love Sick" in 2004 and "The Crazy Town EP" in 2017.

Binzer's death was confirmed by his publicist, who said that he died in his sleep. No cause of death has been released.
